## The shared responsibility model
Shopify keeps the platform online, secure, and fast, and maintains platform-level disaster recovery for its own infrastructure. Shopify does not provide merchants a self-service way to restore their own store data after edits, imports, app changes, or deletions. Recovering that store data is the merchant's responsibility, and that is the gap TinyBackup fills.
